Currently I use a couple paid relays, 1public relay and wine filter relay with broadcast enabled. I know a fraction of what I need to know to optimize my set up, but it’s working great for now! I sub to more paid relays every week just to test out and expand reach.

There are many better people to ask on how to configure relays.

I know some things about Bitcoin. But I also know that I’m probably way under educated in distributed systems. #plebchain

This protocol is not just like twitter, it can be Instagram, Facebook, linked inn and anything else we can imagine. It is an open source technology that anyone can post to without permission or censorship. Someone could build a front end that makes the incoming posts look like a Facebook interface, another that makes it look like an Instagram interface. And the relays that pass this info back and forth can act as filters. So if you wanted to have an insta interface that only ever received Bitcoin memes from around the world that could be made, you are not limited by your ability to find and follow accounts you like. Filters can deliver that to you. But filters you subscribe too, not ones that are forced upon you.

I am not the best to explain what nostr is but just responding to what kinds of things can be accomplished. Please excuse my limited imagination in thinking of different uses for the protocol.

There are between 500,000-2,000,000 on nostr at this point. Just a guess based on recent data.

Anyone out there, please correct my many errors in explaining and providing data or examples. I am only a pleb.

Comparing Gold and Bitcoin future USD values in an inflation free world (I know USD is a shitcoin):

Gold requires a maintenance of adoption in order to remain steady in price. But as the price of Gold increases the dollar value of daily selling pressure from miners increases. This roughly means you need a proportional increase in adoption for price to increase.

Bitcoin only needs time to increase in an inflation free USD price. USD value daily selling pressure today 20 Million at a Bitcoin value of $22,000. In 25 years the daily selling pressure of #Bitcoin in inflation free USD terms is $625,000 at $22,000 Bitcoin price. In other words: #BTC can increase in price even with a decreasing adoption rate moving forward as long as that decrease in adoption is smaller than the decrease in annual inflation rate of bitcoins supply.

This is all without considering inflation. + is Bitcoins adoption really going to plateau or decrease from here???

Gold is an investment based on inflation. Bitcoin is something else entirely.

Every 4 years #bitcoin requires less buying power at a given price to keep the price stable. In this epoch of 900 Bitcoin/day that is rounghly 20 Million USD a day in selling power just from mining at around $22,000 per Bitcoin. (There are other sources of selling, but that is primarily high time preference selling). Next epoch, it’ll only be 10 Million USD a day, and that’s in a future where there will be even more dollars. Fast forward 4 more epochs, that buying power would be around 300,000 USD a day to keep BTC price at $22,000. yes that’s 25 years away. But it’s in a world of a couple quadrillion more dollars, continued increases in Bitcoin adoption and education. Bitcoin may not have bottomed this cycle, but if you have diamond hands and can suffer the Volatility, 25 years from now 1 million per Bitcoin is a bearish prediction. 25 years from now, 30 Bitcoin per day will be mined. At a 1M Bitcoin price that is selling pressure of 30Million USD a day, pretty close to where we are today (with no additional adoption).

Anyone who thinks Bitcoin is going to $0 or even that Bitcoin has hit its last all time high, have no understanding of Bitcoin supply changes and the built in incentive to #hodl
