Right? Especially going in to an AI future. It works in some domains but not others. What's the point of making something better if the spoils go to someone else? But our current term length is ridiculous. Anything you say today is protected far beyond your own life
This means that art can only be funded through patronage
This is a tough one. Philosophically I agree, but realistically it destabilizes society. We could dramatically reduce protections though. Copyright lasts too long; patents frequently protect abstract ideas. Money has pushed the referees into the game

Too passive. Sure, when there are more Bitcoiners people will use Bitcoin more. With Lightning we say that it's difficult to open, manage, and keep channels liquid. But Cashu / Fedimint don't have these problems, yet they're still not taking off. Since trust is the primary concern of ecash, do people not trust the existing mints? Or is the problem deeper, that there isn't a compelling reason to transact in Bitcoin?
If we have mints, what else do we need? Do people not trust the mints? Is there not a killer app yet?
I'm not saying I haven't had some sats rugged unintentionally, but for small amounts it still seems pretty convenient. Can we not get someone quasi trustworthy to run one?
Why aren't more people using Cashu / Fedimint? Is it too difficult to run a mint, or do people not trust them?
If ever there was a slam dunk DVM...

Apparently hot take: we don't live in a democracy, and we don't get to choose the rules
Any property sufficiently valuable requires financial upkeep:
- corporations
- intellectual property
- real estate
- cars
- passports or drivers licenses
Securities and equities don't, mostly because these are fractions of something which is already taxed. Despite the terminology, it's rare that anyone in civil society truly owns anything of consequence
An admission that no one truly owns anything?
How many BTC does it take to think the world is easy? Certainly a lot more than I have

Certainly a step in the right direction. Can we trust it to stay this way? And even if does, you still can't custody Lightning in NY. *sigh*
This prompt isn't a random bag of words though
