Same thing you do if they’re holding bitcoin on an e-cash mint
I hope you’re able to apply your ideas to another protocol. It’s too late for Nostr I’m pretty sure
If ecash is rejected by institutions, it will be labeled as money laundering.
If ecash is accepted by institutions, it will be the same exact thing as CBDC.
Can someone tell me why ecash is good?
Live in the pod, eat the bugs, use the ecash. nostr:note1rr4lenujy3jun58y78elh96gj3qa7tghjrx2y0dwfwlp8p24fkuqpcyf20
I like the willingness to borrow from other existing projects where it makes sense.
That’s good inspiration for the UI. Maybe it can influence the color palette. A more flat design?

Bluesky is going to add key rotation/management into their app. Very nice.
In other apps, that account shows correctly as Nos. Not sure what that could mean. How often does Damus refresh profiles?
I figured it out. nostr:npub1zafcms4xya5ap9zr7xxr0jlrtrattwlesytn2s42030lzu0dwlzqpd26k5 nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 there’s a bug in Damus that is causing both to show up as Pablo. The second account is Nos, but on Damus, it’s showing as Pablo with his name, his prof pic, and even a verified check mark. But the real Pablo is “PABLOF7z” and the other Pablo is “Pablo” lol.
Might be a caching issue, but I’ve seen this a couple days in a row now.
This is the one that is Nos and not actually Pablo.
Actually confused about who is nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft and who is nostr:npub1pu3vqm4vzqpxsnhuc684dp2qaq6z69sf65yte4p39spcucv5lzmqswtfch
This could be an issue with how some apps (Damus?) render usernames vs nicknames vs names. But it is highlighting a weird aspect to Nostr that I’m not really enjoying.

I’m against e-cash now. I’m not using e-cash as a layer on top of lightning as a layer on top of Bitcoin. I’m sick of the gymnastics.
All that work just for e-cash mints to be forced to have back doors or shut down for laundering money (true). nostr:note1kh6t0phx2shpnkd2qljrw0lvwunyg478ugtaz5av97lqqpjgjeqspfjhgs
You switched to mastodon? 😮
Wait… who is this Pablo? nostr:npub1pu3vqm4vzqpxsnhuc684dp2qaq6z69sf65yte4p39spcucv5lzmqswtfch
Wow, I didn’t realize you were working on Nos now! Are you able to use your SDK at all or is it pretty much native code?
That’s what I’m thinking “federation” is just a blood pact of “if I go to jail, we all go to jail”. How does that help the situation at all? If a coin mixer is money laundering, so is e-cash. E-cash is even more custodial than a mixer is.
Users care far more about the client side than they do about server side.
It’s clear which nostr developers understand this and which don’t. nostr:note13zt5rjm50gpr0pgfs9neawy9ml6zkmdw7qvmn7jz44y72pm0vhvqcxgst7

This makes a lot of sense. If a small follower account is followed by a large number of influential people, they should rightfully be seen as a higher number
