chronic early adopter of decentralized tech :)

They have a footer on the bottom of their page to input your npub to receive messages to keep up with their development. Next to their email sign up. Very cool!

They won’t nuke your data. They’ll keep it forever and monetize it (if they’re smart).

That’s why we should be paying only for encrypted notes. Our unencrypted notes are inherently valuable to relays.

It’s fairly common in America that there are pseudo-monopolies. When everyone is hurting, our corporations are still making record breaking profits.

I wish we had a President doing that here too. People call it “price control” as a scare tactic. Put the health of the people first!

I 100% support Bukele.

Bitcoin is not about the “free market” or whatever else bogus religion you espouse. I’m glad that there is one leader in the world that has his head on straight and puts his people above ideologies.

“Do you consent to give this relay ownership of your content?”

☝️ this would be honest and truthful UX in Nostr

Linguistics nerds follow this Anglish account!

I used the term “fork” in a tongue in cheek way. I have been on nostr as long as you Melvin 😂

But the point stands that the user experience is equivalent to a “fork”, yes. The user experience would be split between two incompatible key management NIPs. As mentioned in this thread, it would require a kind of reset for users. But I think it’s worth it because nostr is still quite small and it’s a necessity for growth!

If half the clients adopt the NIP and half don’t, that’s basically a fork in the network. But the number of clients is small enough that a reset wouldn’t be that bad imo. Worth doing while the network is still young. Especially lack of key rotation needs to be tackled sooner

Would subkeys also allow for key rotation? Seems like if you’re going to soft-fork nostr, it better be for a 10x better solution. Just include all the key upgrades at once

I 100% support the mail system analogy. It’s great. Could such an NIP be extended to any note (even outside of keychat)?

What are the fees for ecash? Also, 1 sat will be 1 dollar sooner that we realize. So what do we do when 1 message = 1 dollar?

Indeed…
