It took me like… 4 years of reading and listening. From the point of realizing I was wrong about some things, to the realization that the U.S. Federal government is controlled by organized crime.

Its kind of overwhelming when the blinders come off. And the process still hasnt stopped.

Driftwood Christmas. Seen on a street corner in Fairhope.

I was driving back thinking, “i want to buy my dishes from a local potter. my produce from a grower, my milk from a rancher….etc etc

its a Tori Amos Christmas music kind of night... hanging lights & nostalgia all over the house 🎄

I found a lumberyard/hardware store nearby that is not a chain store. Its literally in the woods, next to a locally owned fruit stand, and they have free fresh brewed coffee at the front of the store.

I tried to discern how theyve been able to stay in business with a Lowes nearby, and Amazon being ubiquitous.

Its service. They have several offices on the side with super knowledgable people, who do nothing but try to make contractors lives easier. All a contractor has to do is call their favorite rep, and whatever they need, will be delivered to a jobsite.

That, is why they aren’t just surviving, they’re busy.

And that is what is increasingly missing in the mega corporate box store world. Which means opportunities…
