Yes, though in some ways worse, some better.
what dunking? I never dunked on anyone 🤷♂️
Not KYCd at all 🤷♂️
Never understood why so many of you are so hostile, makes no sense if you have any desire for Nostr to actually be a useful social platform and not just a circlejerk.
💯
of course I know you understand this, just wish more did!
Thanks for your intellectual honesty as always 🤝
would love recommendations! i think I already have a pretty good following set but hard to discover people on Nostr (still).
#privacytechpro tip: listen to nostr:npub1tr4dstaptd2sp98h7hlysp8qle6mw7wmauhfkgz3rmxdd8ndprusnw2y5g. this is basic stuff. nostr is great for pseudonymity, but very bad for privacy...kinda like bitcoin by default. that certainly doesn't mean to throw the baby out with the bathwater. nostr is awesome. just don't be a loud ignorant douche canoe. it doesn't do anyone any favors, especially the growth of this protocol. learn nostr's strengths and limitations so you can use it privately and promote it effectively.
#cybersecgirl #nostr #privacy
thanks for amplifying, more people need to know this!
a lower bound of hardcore users doesnt make a useful social network 🤷♂️
"no one" would more accurately read "not many" FWIW.
was too hyperbolic in the OP.
I hope they can! I really do.
True, but one party knowing your IP and having a vested interest in protecting it.
On Nostr you're exposing it to many parties with no recourse.
yes, but 99.9% even of the more technical Nostr users can't/won't so that.
It was hyperbole, should have used a less general term!
Nostr is more of an echo chamber than X 🤔
Ideally I would have done both and compared.
You know it doesnt require KYC, right?
How did you buy the Bitcoin you use to Zap?
Stagnated growth, poor discoverability, poor keye management, lack of any content diversity, often a lack of critical thought applied to it, blind maximalism rampant, etc.
so you just didnt read my post then, got it.
