I'm not sure what NIP29 accomplishes, I've read it multiple times.. especially the 'private' mode where it's not so private all it does is require auth, these events once downloaded by a client can simply be rebroadcasted as they are not giftwrapped or anything. The threading seems like an un-necessary complication, as Japan has showed us, we already have air reply+ boost, and quote reply. We can perform mod actions on any kinds, including reg nostr chatrooms, hashtags etc.
Relay.tools is already supporting mod actions via simple nostr reactions, nip42 auth, nip17 DM, having entire relays be a community, and NIP87 private groups with coracle WL. 💎💫 But I do not see a good enough reason to have such a custom built relay for 29 given it is not quite the features I would expect from a group.
