I get more lovin when I look rough and ready.
I'm guessing I probably have to go to a conference to do this?
https://satellite.earth is a beautiful creation.
1) reddit-style communities with upvoting
2) astral-ninja like list of your followed plebs. I would love for this to be sortable at some point.
3) live-feed of notes from followed plebs
4) clean, friendly, relaxing UI
This is already my new favorite, even without the zaps, which are in development.
Correction: zaps are implemented!

I would also checkout https://satellite.earth/
Nonetheless we all need to take it one day at a time still. Just keep moving the needle bit by bit.
I just participated in my first zapathon. It was weirdly therapeutic.
To be clear, I mean the design itself is "needy", in the way of trying to fit in the fiat mainstream social media design expectations which isn't really selling itself in the best way.
I didn't mean to imply anything negative towards the people at Primal, just hopefully critical feedback to the product itself towards improvement. I apologize if it came off differently.
The branding of Primal and other performant clients are too "needy". It's trying to hard. They also reek of Twitter which is exactly what people are trying to get away from. The wave icon is very FIAT. Le Nostr is different so it shouldn't be trying to be or look like twitter, etc.
We need to embrace our nerdy, fun little culture. We aren't going to go from 0 to full network effects in 1 year.
Look at bitcoin's network effects' history. There are waves of adoption. E.G. "cryptoalphas" -> cypto enthusiasts -> black-market -> early tech professionals/retail -> retail speculation on instiutions -> nimble institutions.
This is part of the reason I personally love the UI of astral.ninja. It's different in a very good, fun way. I especially like the the ordered list of my homies on the right, where I can sort to the top my ride-or-die homies, etc.
I just found this and had to share useful site showing a list of active, online instances of various social media privacy front-ends (like nitter, etc):
Getting ready to completely ditch Twitter. My biggest hold-up is that there are still some important folks that are only active over there and not on the nostr.
My temporary solution is to manually keep a folder bookmarks of their Nitter profiles.
Does anyone have any possibly better ideas?

Just tell him you are saving all of his "I told you so!"s for later. That'll play on his mind enough.
I didn't know what I was looking for until I saw this. Thank you, now I can go on with my day.
