I would *love* to be able to write code for important projects for free if I had some way to pay the bills without charging for my labor. As it stands I'm not independently wealthy nor do I have any rich relatives that will be leaving me a fortune when they pass so I have to require money for my time. I wish that wasn't the case, but that's the way things work atm so I have to abide.

I actually shuttered Nostrum.pro because the search features on NostrGram are so much better and I don't have enough time to code on both sites. So definitely give NostrGram a try!

How do you propose the people spending time, energy and effort to gain scientific knowledge earn a living if everything they learn should be given away for free?

Just pushed the update that makes full text searches much faster, particularly for queries that have a lot of results in the database (queries with just a few results were always fast). Refresh NostrGram to get the update. The old full text search will stop working shortly FYI so you'll need to update to be able to search.
