Dave Portnoy has surely consulted lawyers and they’ve said something like “Should be fine to launch a memecoin, just tell everyone it’s a collectible and they can lose their money and don’t immediately rug but tell them you might.” Right?

I want to know more about this from a lawyers perspective. I would love to know more from a lawyers perspective. Any #lawyers here on #nostr care to chime in?

Hopefully memecoins don’t cause another premature end to the bull market.

All the empirical evidence and reason suggests that, for anything to exist — i.e. “to be,” there must be an eternal, self-existent and all powerful being from which all being is derived. To think otherwise is logically inconsistent. What you acknowledge as that eternal being is another matter. That’s as far as the evidence and reason can take us.

I’m a Christian, and I believe that our being is derived from the eternal, triune God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), who created all things ultimately for his glory and our good. This God is fully revealed to us in the Son’s incarnation as the perfect man, Jesus Christ. Christ came to seek and save us for eternal life with God by the sacrifice of his life on the cross and his resurrection from the dead. God has foretold and promised this in scripture.

Just sharing my interests. Are you saying I can’t be interested in both or share both on my Nostr feed? I like coffee, too. Does Bitcoin have nothing to do with coffee? I can give my Bitcoin to someone in need or in support of a religious organization, if I choose. Those are a religious acts for me. I don’t understand your point.

Sam Bankman-Fried's parents want a pardon for him. No.

He stole billions of dollars worth of #bitcoin and #crypto. He set back the entire space by 2 or 3 years by tossing gas on the regulation/Chokepoint 2.0 fire. Think of where we'd be now without his actions. Imagine where you expect us to be 2 or 3 years from now. We would be there already without his actions.

Regardless of whether you used FTX or not, if you have more than zero bitcoin or crypto, Bankman-Fried cost you money and effectively stole from you. No pardon.
