This was early Twitter. Then the self-promoters found it, and the marketers, and the influencers, and the politicians...
They will all show up here eventually to spread their "message".
This may not be a bad thing, if only to remind the user of the duality of discourse / financial transaction. Lumping both into a single "thing" may yield unexpected or undesired consequences, like commercialization of thought and speech. The equivalent of clickbait.
Just a matter of time before someone trains an AI chatbot to crank out notes for zaps. Train it on a large corpus of notes, figure out what gets zaps and what does not, take it from there.
