Ima 'bout to screw up how to embed/reference a note (again). Wait for a helpful response or just YOLO the post?

They're already comping 150-200 tickets for open-source devs, tons of which are giving a talk or speaking on a panel. Not really practical for them to spend money on all of us.

Whoa, your truck is... wow! Can y'all be my apocalypse buddies?!

Yo, Nostr fam:

1. I can't wait to show off @npub17tyke9lkgxd98ruyeul6wt3pj3s9uxzgp9hxu5tsenjmweue6sqq4y3mgl onstage

in Miami & discuss how the project couldn't exist without the open-source community. πŸ”₯

2. But traveling to Miami is expensive! And I'm back to being an unfunded volunteer dev.

πŸ™Any help to offset the costs would be huge.

Meeting people in person is super-important. The relationships I've formed are invaluable.

I've already committed to upcoming trips to @npub1theparkprcs70dcs437ke9zzwsr6u60f8flu7rg28m30438aep9sd94dha @npub17yqgpat6e6ensd78jqhj4c3ef03uq04uqu3z05rhjnlk67lwm8wq9w5269

Pacific Bitcoin, and Adopting Bitcoin.

Would love to say yes to as many #bitcoin events as possible.

But traveling to conferences is a rough financial double-whammy: it's the travel expense PLUS I'm usually billing zero fiat contract hours while I'm away.

Punches a HUGE hole in my finances. πŸ’ΈπŸ˜

Last Nov I did a 2.5wk trip to Pacific Bitcoin (LA), Adopting Bitcoin (El Salvador), and then to Bitcoin Commons (Austin). Was totally worth it. Zero regrets.

But holy cow did that drain my fiat reserves. Set me back a couple months.

So in a shittily ironic twist, the more I travel to #bitcoin events, the more time I have to spend away from bitcoin in order to catch up and bill more fiat contract hours.

Which leaves less time and brain power for #FOSS dev.

I've been working on SeedSigner for nearly two years. I am so grateful for the funding that allowed me to work full-time on the project for ~20% of that time.

Any funding at all for #FOSS devs is a blessing. But the reality is that there just ain't a lot of it out there.

Must be possible to do a git commit grind, ya? Would have been epic to have a 31415926 commit hash.

Impressively bad bitcoining.

* Paying $194 to send $347*.

* Same receive addr was reused multiple times.

* Sending consolidated change BACK to that same reused addr!

*(sorry for denominating in $$$ but it's easier for my brain)

My girl #[0] loving this Spring weather!

As in how high the strings sit above the frets? I wasn't aware that was an adjustment option.

That's definitely been a big part of my early struggles with my acoustic. Too much pressure to move the heavy strings and then too much distance to cover.
