I've been (barely) trying to learn to play guitar on and off for the last 20 years. Always struggled. The fingertip pain. String squeaks. Tinny unintended ringing. Barre chords? Forget it!
Somehow I never knew that lighter gauge strings were a thing! Looking forward to getting these strung. Hoping it makes things easier!
I've done the lettuce buns and honestly it doesn't detract from the experience at all. I forgot that was an option. Next time!

Just noticed a small BIP-39 potential "gotcha":
"artifact" vs "artefact"
Some mnemonic backup schemes only write the first four letters of each word. Isn't inconceivable that an American might write "arti" when they mean "arte".
Also easy to mis-enter as "arti" when typing into a UI that auto-completes/auto-eliminates options -- like #[0]

I did a walkthrough of my PR to add flow-based test scenarios. It's a big change with some subtle, complicated parts so I thought it would be best to actually present and discuss it. the hope is to encourage more devs to review the PR and ideally get hands-on writing some of their own flow-based tests.
Super-nerdy. But I think it's important to make the project as friendly as possible to onboard new devs.
So far I've been using Netflix in a web browser and the controls are similar. Start/stop w/spacebar. Pretty easy access to flip the subtitles from English to Spanish. And they mostly change in place so I can directly A/B between the two without having to rewind and replay.
Had much better luck with "Monarca".
If I watch a scene with English subtitles, my ear recognizes a ton of the Spanish. And then if I go back and re-watch the scene with the Spanish subtitles, I see all the details I missed but still feel pretty confident that I can understand it (though maybe false confidence since I had the English training wheels to begin with).
But if I start w/the Spanish subtitles, I still need to do constant pausing to slowly translate. And I'm so focused on the text that my ear doesn't pick up much.
Not sure which approach is better.
I guess I should try other combos, too (e.g. listen w/no subtitles first, then replay w/Spanish subtitles?).

I switched over to "Monarca" and the Mexican Spanish is so much easier. Regaining a little confidence.
Oof. Trying to watch "Élite" en español (both the audio and subtitles).
Definitely CANNOT understand w/just audio (the Spain accent masks all the syllables my ears need!).
I'm pausing on nearly every line of dialog. The Netflix web UI makes it easy-ish to swap to the English subtitles when I need the help.
Any recommendations that might be a bit easier? This is kicking my butt.

I finally did a YOLO commit + update to nostrtool.com to match the version I demoed at #nostrica.
