Oof. Trying to watch "Élite" en español (both the audio and subtitles).
Definitely CANNOT understand w/just audio (the Spain accent masks all the syllables my ears need!).
I'm pausing on nearly every line of dialog. The Netflix web UI makes it easy-ish to swap to the English subtitles when I need the help.
Any recommendations that might be a bit easier? This is kicking my butt.
I occasionally do something similar by watching CSI: Miami in Spanish with Spanish subtitles. Because of the basic plot and simple script there's a lot of reuse of common phrases and verbs in that series. I still can't keep up and there's no pause option but I'm starting to recognize some of it

Could you watch it on YouTube? I use the space bar to stop start, which is very accurate, not like faffing with the remote on Netflix.
Also with YouTube you can 'show transcription' which is handy.
You can have subtitles on screen
You can also playback speed to a slower rate
