My day consisted in a 45min Uber ride, 2 flights, a 2h taxi ride, and a 2h bus ride.

My effective income tax rate in the US is around 33-34%.

This does not include Medicare and Social Security Tax.

I then pay a 7% state sales tax on every purchase.

I pay around 10,000 USD in property tax.

There are loads of other taxes for the county: trash, water, etc.

Capital gains and other investment tax.

In the end, I would estimate around 50% of my family’s earnings to go some form of tax.

Narcissists have a hard time with open and decentralized platforms because they distribute power to everyone versus reinforcing an ego of one person “saving”the world.
