It's been a while since I last did this, but I think you can go to a site you like and go to "view source" to copy paste their site. You can make it yours!

heh... yeah that's what I've found as well. I got lightning node running on my phone even. There's a lot of good wallets and node setups for different people and tradeoffs. Which is great!

Yet for now, this whole zaps system relies on all funds flowing through custody in an antithetical way.

A lot of people are probably losing privacy by the way they send sats on nostr. You generate an invoice linked to your identity, and send sats from a wallet that's yours. LN privacy already isn't perfect, and zaps broadcast a signed transaction receipt with both parties have verified identites.

And that kind of data is gold to a company like cyphertrace

I'm glad to hear that. I looked into seeing what it would take to self host my own lnurl address, and in that rabbit hole found out why there's only two sites offering it.

It's not simple, but it does hide a lot about the ln btc for outside parties. Yet, outside parties have the benefit of seeing who gets sent what on nostr with signed receipts.

I'm okay with 3rd party involvement long term, and I think there's not any issue there, and it's fine if there's some compromises now that can eventually be overcome.
