So many policy misalignments!
Mining, & Bitcoin more broadly, can help Canada:
- Power disconnected communities using diesel
- Reduce GHG emissions from landfills, farms, space heating, oil & gas
- Empower financially repressed / vulnerable groups
While the US & Canadian governments implement policies to discourage bitcoin mining for 'climate reasons'...
Bhutan, ie the world's first *carbon negative* country (ie removes more CO2 than it emits), is expanding it's bitcoin mining operations

The most effective policies are technology/solution agnostic
They regulate for outcomes like improved financial access, lower carbon, or economic development, instead of bans (eg on mining) or prescriptive solutions (increase solar with a subsidy)
Govts have done a poor job of picking winners & those on a tech/solution agnostic path will edge ahead. And especially when coupled with a big picture view - such as how economy, energy & climate connect together (vs trying to change one interconnected part)
Administrations in power don't *yet* understand that their stance on our industry will win/lose elections
A decade ago, Liberals lost Ontario's election on a single issue: energy policy (specifically high electricity prices)
👇🏼 Kennedy's grasp of a few key issues will resonate with voters, especially as adoption grows (number go up: price & hodlers). I predict we'll see power shifts over next 5 yrs, if not this election already

The government subsidizes every other industry's decarbonizarion (steel, cement, pulp & paper, oil & gas, energy gen, etc), from subsidies to funding (free $)
But when there's a natural subsidy (Bitcoin mining reward), they tax it, pushing mining offshore to higher GHG emitting grids 🤦🏼♀️

What level is your nation at?
1. Home mining
2. Industrial mining
3. Country mining
Bhutan & El Salvador have achieved level 3

What is Picard without Q :)
So good, but a lot more drama than TNG 😆
That's a fancy blanket fort
Is this monthly or annual?
My friend had to sell her house in April, her mortgage was going to go from 5k to 12k & she couldn't afford it
Note, we have 1 year variable rates in Canada unlike US, which are several % lower vs fixed 5yr
