Today marks 1 year and 5 months since the kidnapping of Jeancarlos Rivas😢🇻🇪

On June 14, 2024, just six days after organizing a successful rally in Vargas to welcome Edmundo González, Jeancarlos was abducted by the regime while walking through his parish.

He was only 19 years old. Since then, he has not set foot on the streets he walked since adolescence as an activist for Voluntad Popular.

"That was not a detention, it was a kidnapping. My son didn’t even have a pencil on him," said his mother, Keyla, upon completing one year of his imprisonment.

Jeancarlos is a symbol of the Venezuela we want: a young man with leadership, social commitment, love for his community, and dreams of freedom. His only "crime" was fighting with joy for a different country.

Free Venezuela's Political Prisoners Now

In Venezuela, hundreds of voices have been silenced behind bars—not for crimes, but for daring to speak truth to power. These political prisoners—journalists, activists, opposition leaders, and everyday citizens—are detained without fair trials, enduring torture and inhumane conditions simply for demanding democracy.

Their imprisonment is not justice; it is oppression. Every day they remain locked away, Venezuela’s hope for freedom dims. The world cannot stay silent. Releasing these prisoners is not a political favor—it is a moral imperative and the first step toward restoring human rights and democratic order.

Freedom is not negotiable. Act now.
