"Wrong" is a relative term. Profitable for Big Pharma is the goal.
Current is Alexandre Dugin. Why? He (or at least translator Michael Millerman) explained something I've wondered about for decades: why writers from early church to Enlightenment were so concerned about Nominalism. They seemed to regard it as a heresy leading straight to a chaotic hell.
For Medieval writers, the question was if God is "good", does "good" have an objective meaning? Or do we just label whatever God does as "good". More abstractly, do categories objectively exist, or are they arbitrary and subjective?
"Wokeness" is Nominalism taken to logical conclusions never before seen. Male and female and not objective categories, but arbitrary labels. Human and non-human is a subjective distinction. "Rights" are arbitrary permissions granted by those in power and subject to change on a literal whim. "Pray I do not alter the deal any further." And - it is leading to a chaotic hell right before our eyes.
Now I am pondering a Dugin interview purporting to explain why Putin calls Western elites (WEF, US Deep State, etc) "Satanic". https://www.geopolitika.ru/en/article/alexander-dugin-satanism-putting-matter-spirit
The one sentence summary seems to be, "because they put matter over spirit". But that doesn't make sense to me. I always thought of Satanism as rebellion against whatever God says. If God says, "be fruitful and multiply", then be childless and depopulate. If God says, "let man rule over the Earth", then let Earth rule over man. More recently, if God "created them male and female", then do your best to alter that reality.
A better summary after a reading might be "putting creature over creator". And from that fundamental beginning, reversing all of created order. Dugin says, "virtues are immutable, vices are always progressing". This is the basic nature of Western "Progress" - as C.S. Lewis put it, "I've seen progress in an egg, we call it going bad." Thus Dugin later states, "Satanism must be understood strictly as a strategy of decay, the will to decay, the elevation of decay to an ideology."
It was the same calculation then as now. Everyone told me I was crazy to buy. The value of a house in gold (or BTC) stays about the same - even since 100 years ago.
The problem for a young person is that interest on a 30 yr mortgage makes the proposition very expensive. You need a) a large initial equity to reduce size of mortgage and/or b) a shorter term mortgage (e.g. 15 years - higher payments).
In my case, I lived in the unheated attic of my parents garage. (They begged me to take a basement room, but I was determined to sleep in my underwear in sub-zero weather like those Australian Aborigines and college students in that study cited in Scientific Americ - it worked! The key is NO wind chill.) I paid a very small rent and saved up a 25% down payment. I considered it essential to provide a home for a marriage. In addition, I made a strict budget, and paid it off in 15 years. (Note, there are additional steps I didn't take, like making payments twice a month to reduce total interest.)
So about $12 - like what cash machines at the airport charge.
That is a pretty expensive withdrawal fee nostr:npub1hcwcj72tlyk7thtyc8nq763vwrq5p2avnyeyrrlwxrzuvdl7j3usj4h9rq ffs...

Is that 27K sats? Or 27.000 sats (I heard Lightning supports millisats)?
Until this year, I always wondered if the 3rd amendment would ever be under attack. Then they started quartering illegal aliens in people's homes.
Not terrifying at all compared to, say, Klaus Schwab. I'll take alien sea life any day.
An anniversary song for my wife when her hair started turning silver:

Also, since there is no markdown, what is the best way to make a post like the above was intended to be?

You are confusing mastondon.org (an instance) or possibly Mastodon (an app) with the protocol (Activity Pub, or AP). There are legit criticisms of AP, mainly that most normies have to get an account on a 3rd party server (which can then forge posts from them). But "furry echo chamber" would refer to a particular server.
For example, I have accounts on qoto.org (admin is a free speech advocate, most users are into science, although plenty of anti-globalist politics as well) and llamarific.social (admin is a Christian).
Also, truth.social is a Mastodon instance with federation turned off (boo!).
Most useless thing:
Progressive Theory of History
Sociology
Fortunately, we also had Latin and Greek and read real history in original languages. I wrote a small language model (all the buzz phrases uttered by the teacher in a Random Transition Network) to write the sociology papers - and got B+.
Most useful things:
Linear Programming (e,g. optimize ratios in a mixed berry product).
QR Factorization (fit non-linear models to datasets)
Since I don't do Big Tech phones, Damus and Amethyst are out.
I currently just post notices to Matrix rooms. Nostr would be a way to publicize more widely without using github. I also heard about replacing github issue tracker with Nostr. Sounds great to me.
Currently attempting to package yggdrasil-0.5.5 for Fedora. (And the test suite fails ...)
git-ssb packages each commit into an SSB message. If the commit is too large for the 8k text limit, it is stored as a "media" file and linked. SSB provides an ipfs-like distributed media storage (referenced by hash and can be served from any node that has it).
git. The OG "client" (which is also a server). It has a lot of perl, and I hate perl (although I was online friends with Larry Wall), but it works, it works well, and the only problem with it is too many features.
Just publish a link to a private git repo on Nostr. Git is already distributed and decentralized. The only purpose of github (and SourceForge and other Big Tech repo collections) was for publicity.
git-ssb just uses a plugin for SSB repositories. Why replace git? It is not tied to github in any way. Use any repository, and add new protocols like SSB or Nostr via plugins.
I think a fully custodial wallet is what I want. Where I can transfer a small amount of BTC (which is self-custody) for zapping and receiving zaps. How does the wallet provider make money? Do they take a percentage?
I want to "like" this, but I live here. What Nostr clients have reactions? (Like "grimace" in this case.)
