I had a concept called "Nostr Companion" that acts as a local relay proxy and makes sure every event is only downloaded once; even handles sending to the relays too. Just connect to it, and it takes care of sending a new event to the listed relays. Would just live as a tray applet too.
The iteration would've included nsecbunker support to ultimatively do something like fetching nsecs from an AD to allow whole teams for like marketing to use a shared nsec without actually having the real one and implementing a company local RBAC this way.
Never got to make it though, but it would at least partially reduce the strain on browsers... to a degree, anyway.

I really, REALLY need to get into writing more Go and Rust. Go is great for putting together "small" things (i.e. data routers; grabbing something from here and putting it there) and Rust for something bigger. There are Nostr projects I want to write, and nostr-ndk is pretty amazing.
This "Telegram situation" I had reminded me how much I want a great IM experience on Nostr. The tools are there, it can be done, so I want to do it. Same with file sharing; blossom is pretty good, combined with blasting metadata notes across nodes to offer servers to dynamically decide how much or what to keep and rehost and broadcast that...
Argh. Really still annoyed. XD But doing the IM stuff means I would have to...go...to...the...frontend o-o eep... frontent is scary.
Spend the day at a friends', installed him a beefy af CPU cooler (someone else he knew installed the super thin Wraith on a 3950X...overheating was a constant issue) and we then went to play some Yu-Gi-Oh! at a card shop. It was genuely fun to pick up my cards again, been a while. ^^

The Mautrix (Beeper) Telegram can not backfill messages anymore because nobody is working on the related MXCs. Cool, so it's useless to move old chats now, neat.
I removed the Telegram bridge; I am done with that. Migration to XMPP (MongooseIM) is basically a made decision. Really pissed.
Oh the alternative? "Beeper specific extensions". Do I need to say more?
Turns out I changed my config and the cert just expired on me o.o No idea what happened lol.
That said, it appears that Telegram, which I mainly used through Matrix, had logged out my host from it.
So:
- Expired certs
- Telegram force-logout for ... some reason.
My server did _not_ take that too kindly - and, I actually needed to have Telegram because I needed to be able to talk to my mom, who was going to pick me up. So this was VERY much a panic moment >.<

I'd need some place to stay. Hessia to Bavaria is a bit of a way, even with the train o.o... Could probably pick a direct line from Frankfurt really, but I need some place to rest at some point - let alone vacation days x)
