ROMS via Nostr? x)
EmulatorJS + nostr-tools = a NIP that defines a ROM, info from intro-db in tags.
Couldn't ever mute you.
Too much fun I'd be missing out on. xD
Good to know! Currently peeking at visiting Utrecht again for another YuGiOh YCS turnament; this'd be neat. ^^
How to #GMProtocol:
- IF you see "GM", "GN" or "PV":
- THEN you like && reply with "GM", "GN" or "PV" according to the initial note.
Why? Cuz this is #Nostr! =)
Fuuuuuuuck i keep forgetting just how absolutely massive France is o.o... Damn.
Nah - keeping in touch on social media is an on and off thing. Take me and Laeserin for instance (can't @-ping on #Rabbit bleh). I've been following her since almost as long since joining Nostr; but we don't talk regularily - yet, we cross paths once in a while and she even pinged me about a german nostr meetup; we do "know" each other, in that sense. Likewise, I used to interact a lot with a guy going by Akito whom I haven't seen in forever - they might have left Nostr already. People come and people go - kind of the nature of an SNS. Basically, picture a staircase with the label "level of closeness". Not super accurate but:
- Social media: You see people in the pulic, say hi, see them once in a while and talk. They're a familiar face.
- Group chat (i.e. Discord server, Telegram group): You know those people rather well and have turned people that you know from passing by into people that you talk quite frequently now, even "outside the street".
- Direct message (Signal, SimpleX, ...): That person is very much a friend. Sometimes DMs are also temporary and a result of an SNS interaction but not too common. This is what I would consider the highest step on the staircase; you are probably close friends by now.
Again, not super accurate, but at least how I feel about it and how I have experienced it since ~20 years of internet. x)
So don't worry; what you are experiencing is quite common I would think. ^^
The best thing you can do is this: Bring your own little bit of variation. Post things you enjoy, welcome new users when you spot them and offer them a helping hand - and if you do see some kind of toxicity in the replies, make sure to showcase the users that not everybody on the platform is a butt. First impressions matter so much. :)
Good blog by nostr:npub1m4ny6hjqzepn4rxknuq94c2gpqzr29ufkkw7ttcxyak7v43n6vvsajc2jl 👍
Nostr needs more content creators in general from bloggers to musicians to streamers. The audience is already here what we need is more diverse content appealing to a broader spectrum of users and their likes / prefernces.
For example, I stream gaming and I totally get it that my content isn't for everyone. It's for gamers and people who like to watch streams, chat and hang out with each other. Now, if someone comes into my stream but my content isn't for that person they'll naturally bounce from my channel and then... don't find much other content to watch so they bounce from the site entirely.
In other words, the discoverability is there, the demand is there, the creators aren't.

I have some stories to tell, for sure... o.o
Survived politics class. Phew, not much about EU elections.
Next is german class and that bastard exam. 5th grade level exam in an effectively "14th grade" school year. Ehhhhhh x-x

48 makis would be inhaled so quickly. <3

Oh god, politics class.

Had some in town a few months ago.
Policemen were like "tf why" XD
Some fancy doot before I go writing a german exam. Oh, its pretty bad. Loads of crap related to the QualityLand book. Had to cave and buy it from Amazon, but downloaded/converted it to unencrypted files and stored it in my own Audiobookshelf as an m4b. Cuz the hell am I gonna use any of the audible apps O.o
Work and family reqquire me to at least partially use some of this crap unfortunately. But Nostr has been a huge help in achieving that. Selfhosting anything from Piped to Audiobookshelf and stuff has contributed too.
But, sadly, in order to keep in touch with certain people, the algos and cloud are kinda unavoidable to a degree...
Heck, many nostr relays live on S3. o.o
Made a quick nostr interop spreadsheet. Anyone can edit this. Please be kind.
Sorry it’s a Google doc, I couldn’t get sheetstr to work :(

Someone ping the #sheetstr dev.
You forgot the "very".
They are _very_ angry palestinians. And, may I add, they have a very strong point there.
Die Strategie lautet:
- Gaza plattmachen
Pft.
