✨Un poco acerca del Antminer S9, que es la casa de mi chico minero.

➡️El S9 contiene 189 chips ASIC distribuidos en tres tarjetas hash (hash boards).

➡️Cada tarjeta hash tiene 63 chips, modelo BM1387 Bitmain, basados en la tecnología de fabricación de 16 nanómetros.

➡️Eso de los nanómetros es una locura maravillosa, un nanómetro es extremadamente pequeño: aproximadamente 100,000 veces más pequeño que el diámetro de un cabello humano (1 nm = 1 × 10⁻⁹ metros).

➡️Esto es de suma importancia ya que en cuanto más pequeño es el tamaño de los transistores (medido en nanómetros), mayor es la cantidad de transistores que pueden integrarse en el chip.

➡️Estos chips ASIC están específicamente diseñados para hacer operaciones lógicas (para el algoritmo SHA-256), lo que los hace mucho más rápidos y eficientes que las CPU o GPU tradicionales.

➡️Luego el modelo BM1387 opera eficientemente, con bajo consumo de energía y buena disipación de calor, lo que minimiza las pérdidas de energía por generación del mismo.
