Nostr has a growing ecosystem of apps and micro-services, but unless you've been around nostr for a while, you may not be aware that these even exist.
nostr:npub1t3ggcd843pnwcu6p4tcsesd02t5jx2aelpvusypu5hk0925nhauqjjl5g4 and I were discussing this earlier and feel that it's up to all of us to help new users discover that nostr is more than just social. It's up to us to help promote these other use cases.
It may be helpful for app and micro-service discovery for larger clients such as Primal, Amethyst, Damus, Snort, Iris, etc. to showcase them in a new area of their client simply called 'App Directory'. This new section of your app would showcase popular services that compliment your client and enhance your user's experience. Coracle already does this. Stemstr for music creation and collaboration
Wavlake for music discovery and publishing

It's up to you to pick which apps you feel complement your client the most.

Does anyone know if any former Twitter engineers are involved with Nostr? Seems to me that knowledge of how some of these issues got dealt with (or not) there would be useful. Nostr is not reinventing the wheel, it’s a new type of machine, but it probably still needs bearings, maybe some rubber and must conform to the laws of physics.

I’m gonna be honest, this conversation surprised me, in a good way. We’re going to have many different folks on this pod, including politicians.
Now, Gov Paterson isn’t a bitcoin evangelist of anything, but even from this clip and throughout the episode you’ll notice he is open, honest, intrigued, and knows first hand the global financial system we do have is not working. This is a democratic politician saying he thinks the work we’re doing is important and thanks creative solutions like #bitcoin can be the answer to a broken system 😮
Needless to say, I’m going to keep sending him resources so he can spread the news about bitcoin to his contacts.
