Logseq + Syncthing is a match made in heaven!
It's been a while since I've fully migrated my note-taking to Logseq. It has the essential feature of being file-over-app (https://stephango.com/file-over-app) and I love the outliner and journal features of Logseq, also it has great plugins. Since it's all simple md files, it can be easily synced via Syncthing with mobile and other machines.
I recommend you try it out.

Sadly X broke guest accounts, and Nitter only works (self-hosted) if you ser up an X account to get the tokens:

There are public instances but unless they have hundreds of accounts (xcancel.com has 500 accounts if I recall), they tend to get rate limited... Nitter was great, now we'll see how long these instances can survive...

#Mistral #AI is no longer releasing open weights. They removed all "open" and "free" palaver from their website [1], while partnering with Microsoft.
On one side, I'm happy there's more options than just OpenAI, and I'm happy this will increase competition and innovation in the space.
But I'm sad to see that Mistral has abandoned their origins of magnet link releases of open weights with no explanation nor announcements. I think it would be compatible to do both.
Before Immich I was using Photoprism, but I really think Immich is far superior in many things. Particularly in background phone sync, and overall phone experience.
Breaking changes are usually a few edits to the docker-compose.yml file, and I haven't experienced any issues in this ~2 years by just following the update instructions on the release notes.
I've been using #Immich as my photo backup solution for the past two years, many things have improved, and it is safe to say that it has become the best open source photo backup solution.
The Spanish Government has purchased a license (for lack of detail, surely valid for one year) of this Israeli spy software (Cellebrite Pathfinder) using, of course, the taxes of all citizens for a whopping 260,000 euros. In addition to the Treasury, other State agencies will also take advantage of this software, such as the National Police or the Civil Guard, among others.

#Nitter, the alternative Twitter front-end, appears to be non-functional due to changes from Twitter itself. Since most content is there, it was a viable private way to consume some interesting accounts with privacy.
From now on, I will be exclusively consuming content from #Nostr and Mastodon.
