I can't speak for other TG users. For that kind of conversations I occasionally have on TG, I'm not concerned. For the other conversations I use Threema for more privacy.

I live in a country where there was a government so split that nothing was done anymore, with the result that big investors left the country and there was a big downturn in the economy. There is this downside of your approach.
The Swiss government is not the asset manager of the Saeule 2. This is done mostly by banks and insurance companies if I'm not mistaken.
But I agree, take it out as long as you can is good advice, although not that easy to do.
