The x feed is collapsing. The NOSTR feed is rising. Infinitely better vibes here, and a common belief in a better future.

Learn by building is the only way. And you best believe I’ve been building.

Since it is essentially consensus based, truth at times can seem to be a bit of a moving target once examine your subject closely enough over a long enough time horizon. Perhaps instead of trying to determine whether some information meets the criteria of being objectively true, you can assess the information based on its value - i.e. is this information useful? Can society make productive use of this information to coordinate and make better decisions? If yes, it can work its way into consensus and earn the time-tested status of truth.

OpenAI has published a mass censorship and surveillance manifesto, proposing a new compliance-based infrastructure that would require all GPUs, including the ones running on your own laptops, to be authorized for training AI models, and to produce digital signatures when producing model weights that would map back to a central db of government-approved chips. This is a beyond terrible idea. When they are telling us exactly who they are, we should listen.

FDR’s presidency marked the crossing of the rubicon moment where the American republic fell, and the American empire began. He was the worst president we have ever had. We owe a much deeper critical reflection to his legacy than we are taught to give it.
