We use lightning addresses to send bitcoin to each other instantly. Wallet of Satoshi is easiest, but it is custodial.
It's a Bitcoin wallet that uses the Lightning network for sending and receiving bitcoin. We call them Zaps here, it's fun and easy to do.

Some other tools you might like Matt are Impervious Browser and/or Sigle.io - I love Substack (been supporting you there for years) but if you end up getting redpilled on Bitcoin and peer-to-peer protocols then it makes sense to just bypass all the corporate-owned rails and just connect directly with your consumers and supporters. I think we need a few more years to iron out all the kinks with UX and ease-of-use but I really look forward to your embrace of these revolutionary technologies when their time comes!

Matt - you were my reason for being bullish on tonight's show. I talked about the need for censorship resistant platforms, and how you coming to Nostr in that context was bullish for both freedom of speech, but for free speech money (Bitcoin). When I started the show you didn't have a lightning address but I can see you've now had 58 zaps in the past 180 mins. Hell yeah.
If you ever need a crash course on anything Bitcoin - I do free step by step video tutorials on YouTube and I would also be more than happy to do a video call if you ever need a deeper dive on the basics, proper security and more!
