Damus isn't cranky. It's great as well. I use Damus the most.
Plebstr and Amethyst Unleashed on Android
Its quite neat. Not as feature rich as Amethyst. Not as cranky as Damus.
Most things are abstracted away. Although, the UX takes a bit to get used to.
I'd recommend Plebstr to most plebs

When any new users log in, they are greeted with a friendly wizard, which asks a few questions and sets up topics and mutelists for them.

Porn was the signature content of reddit for a very long time. Now that they need to suck up to the SEC, they've cracked down on it hard.
It'll be as controversial as Tornado Cash if porn becomes a thing on Nostr.
What's the solution for this? Depends on the relays huh? Most relays will ban it but there'll be relays that'll allow it. Since nobody can censor an open protocol, we'll be in the news.

Nevertheless, I agree with your viewpoint. People hack Ethereum protocols all the time, that's how it was written right? Code is law.
I think by having IRL police being the backstop for code bugs we've made devs lazy. We need better infrastructure to secure our things on the internet, not pay police to catch internet thieves(doesn't work because thieves have better security).

An algorithm can even fetch from an obscure relay if its good.

Hahahaha. I was using Twitter APIs as well.
Now, not only can I not use the APIs easily, I'm also banned from twitter because their bot thought that I was a bot and asked me to verify my phone number.
I didnt want to. I reached out to support and got it back again. Then they allowed me. But banned again in a few weeks. And back again. The last time that I happened I raged out at them and they banned me permanently. Just like that. I raged out because I had written a well thought out thread for 30 mins-1hr on Twitter web and now that content was just gone because they thought I was a dot. WHICH BOT WRITES A THREAD????
Fuck em. I still get bots tag me on my doxxed account for scams. Everytime. Twitter hasn't gotten better. Its just that now they're asking you to pay a shit ton more for it. Its an expensive google drive for your thoughts and opinions.
I think Twitter will die soon. Competition will choke it out.
