Yeah, right now I am listening to a book titled “What Technology Wants”, by Kevin Kelly. I haven’t gotten to the end yet, but I’m getting close and my brain started playing the end credits early. Like when you hear a song, and the next song in your playlist automatically starts playing in your head.

Yeah, file system API is probably a good bet. Especially since Bitcoin core already uses block files. You could maybe consider IndexedDB, but I think that would be a bigger lift.
