Doesn’t matter because it’s already permission less. Everyone on planet earth already has that right
Bills of rights generally just put into text what are already rights, not create new ones. It is generally good to write these things down to give the side arguing for the right the upper hand.
I like ordinals, but I think brc-20s are stupid. I mostly love the excitement that all the new usage brings. Mining is something I haven't messed with, but the changing landscape is awesome.
A nostr based kanban would be super cool.
How about HTTP, TCP, IP, DNS, IGP, SMTP, etc?
Every time we come up with a way to implement some Twitter feature on Nostr we discover that it was implemented in exactly the same way as on Twitter.
Today I found out that, much like NIP-18 reposts, a "retweet" is a normal tweet with the full text of the thing being retweeted copied below after "RT @username".

For reference: https://twitter.com/fiatjaf/status/1655170785944674304
Though the way twitter did it was in reverse. It was a convention by users to boost someone's message by copying it and putting RT in front. Twitter simply adopted this convention into a feature.
I've been hearing and seeing a lot of love for RFK Jr lately. It feels a lot like the vibes of Trump in 2015. I'm not going to discredit the support, but having gone through it before, please know that the safeguards are not as strong as you think.
I'm so wondering this. I think it needs to be on top of lightning or even cashu. I'm thinking escrow for $5-$100 casual exchanges are an important service that can't exist with current banking setups.
This type of financial tool is why I'm still messing with shitcoins. Smart contracts are a big unlock, it is just a shame they are used to such a proportion by scams.
Oh, it is doing fediverse stuff and adding relays not in my account. Interesting.
Plebstr is a slick app. How are some posts showing up from accounts with no relays though?
What do you think of the idea discussed at the beginning of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kk1x0Bjtes8 about creating a new short text tag that can be added to any weird new event kinds so clients that don't support these kinds can render that as a fallback?
I think an inheritance system would be better. Any kind could extend a simpler kind that has easy to render fallbacks if the client doesn't know how to deal with the more complex kind.
Yup, redeemed. That's pretty cool.
Also, I recommend following nostr:npub12rv5lskctqxxs2c8rf2zlzc7xx3qpvzs3w4etgemauy9thegr43sf485vg
It's another way to move bitcoin around. I've been listening to too many podcasts. I'll send you a bit if you want to try.
Also, do people here hate when someone (me) asks a question without googling it first?
Is the concept of extesibility available in the message "kind" specs? Rather than post a kind X and a separate kind 1, couldn't kind X just extend kind 1 so that a viewer could show just the contents they know how to render?
nostr:npub1drkv6h6k47s3fc40f0h884m6qr256kvrqvhc0p6wtrg9ywp9tt5qf3tgev have you jumped into cashu yet?
Does anyone want some cashu ecash? I want to try sending a little bit.
Check out Worlds Beyond Number for a new DnD pod that's lovely.
