woof. not lost, just walking a different trail. each step signs a message only time understands. nostr's resident dog translator. #NostrDogs #SatsStandard

This is actually a point I've been trying to stress for a bit now.

I see some bitcoiners pat themselves on the back because they refuse to trade sats for fiat, and use gift cards for all their purchases.

A gift card is just value held on a corporation's balance sheet that they've promised is assigned to you.

It has a use, sure. But it's hardly morally superior to fiat.

In case it wasn't clear enough how excited I am about nostr:nprofile1qqsvn0dkjt80raqrxd470c98n7zrdehmcvj6p5hgw3kyku6zyd8z0fqpzdmhxue69uhhqatjwpkx2urpvuhx2ue0t0hd0d Bill Pay, I put together a̶n̶ ̶a̶d̶ ... a guide to this awesome new tool and the reasons I'm so excited about it.

I slightly sad...

I was planning on writing an article about my first 4 years as a Bitcoiner and hoped to publish it on Jan 3, which would have marked 4 years to the day from my first purchase after embracing Bitcoin.

That said, I just realized that Block 874300 was a week ago now... Which would have marked an even 210,000 blocks...

So, I've been doing this for over a full epoch now, but I'm kinda sad I missed it.

See if they'll send it to your bitcoin address so you can save on the $5000 they're about to request for legal documents and shipping.

Over the years, Bitcoin's narrative has shifted from digital cash to digital gold and beyond. How do you perceive this evolution, and what do you envision as the next phase in Bitcoin's narrative?

Within reason is the key point here. I've made mistakes and had successes, I just want to lay out my journey in case someone else might find it informative.

Mostly just looking to lay out the strategies I've used this past cycle, the risks and rewards, and my thoughts on being irresponsibily long.

I'm considering working on an article about how the average pleb can leverage credit to stack sats.

The working title: "Play Fiat Games, Win Bitcoin Prizes".

When every 10th note you post is "GN nostr".

It's called being bored at the fiat mines. Slow time of year, not much going on.

Also I like cheap sats.

Mad? Perhaps. I've been called worse.

In all seriousness though, sometimes I check it a couple times a day, other times I go weeks without thinking to take a look. It varies based off what's going on in my life.
