The so-called thinking of the ego-mind was so tyrannical that its use throughout your lifetime deadened many of your feelings. It led you so far from the truth that you no longer trust in it. It confused the smallest issues to such a degree that it left you unable to respond purely to anything. The Your only recourse to this situation in the past was focus. You thus applied your thoughts to learning subjects of a specific nature. Through this focus you believed you accomplished much. You congratulated yourself on having the discipline required to train your mind to focus and to learn, or shamed yourself when you were unable to do so. To those most skilled in this training of the ego-mind worldly rewards have long been given. These people attain degrees and skills and then further apply the discipline that they have learned by using their skills and knowledge in the world for even greater rewards. These rewards have further emphasized the importance of such focused thoughts and thus further entrenched the ego-mind. To think that you could learn the truth of who you are through these same means was the fallacy that the early teaching of A Course of Love sought to dispel.

That was cool. I had a message alert from iris.to appear on my monitor.
Today? Visiting father-in-law . Have already been singing and playing some blues on the semi-employed P45. :)
How about you?
May the road rise to meet you, Matt, /\
That's great. Enjoy!
Morning Matt. How did it go?
Cool (no pun intended) Is it local?
Did you know Abe Lincoln was a mystic?
Apparently so.
I recently solo recorded an audiobook for #Librivox :
Abraham Lincoln: The Practical Mystic
Francis Grierson (1848 - 1927)
A knowledge of the influences which ruled the life of Lincoln, the greatest of practical mystics, is essential now that a new form of paganism and slavery threatens humanity.
In Lincoln's time the black slaves of America had to be freed; in our time the white slaves of Europe have to be freed. We have returned to the conquest. History is being repeated, but on a far vaster scale. The whole world is groaning under the threats and deeds of tyranny that seeks to become absolute. What Abraham Lincoln stood for in the middle of the nineteenth century the English-speaking peoples must stand for at the beginning of the twentieth. Materialism produced Prussian autocracy. A spiritual power brought America safely through the ordeals of the Civil War. But the material and the spiritual cannot both rule at the same time. One must yield authority to the other. And we cannot succeed by denying the very thing which caused Lincoln to triumph over all enemies and obstacles. - Summary from the book
Genre(s): Biography & Autobiography, Psychology
Language: English

Really good Matt. Love the vox too. :)
I adopted a similar strategy recently and it works. No FOMO at all!
I don't think Bitcoin per se can give any really deep value - maybe fleetingly. Anything external to ourselves is simply remedial. For example - music has been a constant "medicine" in my life - particularly during a period when I was going cold turkey, withdrawing from Valium. I still find it therapeutic to sing and play the piano on particular. But, without wishing to sound like an old hippy, love, understanding, and forgiveness are the real answer - not Bitcoin.
I'm rebuilding my website using Wordpress and am trying to get used to using "blocks" - which shows how long ago I actually used WP!
