The STPI cashu mint is once again functional! The fees are raised until I get a notion of the new LSP's fees. It turns out the problem is someone was doing high volume transactions and exceeded my prior LSP's account volume limits. This new LSP also has limits, but charges fees when its gone over. Lets see how it works.

I've confirmed its isolated to the account at my undisclosed LSP, and other accounts do not have this problem.

It appears the mint can pay invoices with no limitations, but cannot create inbound payments over 10 sats. I am working on two parallel resolutions and will keep posting updates here.

Lightning payments and withdrawls are temporarily unavailable. Cashu tokens are still transferable within the mint. Service is expected to return in the next 48 hours. #cashu

Being able to contribute to the freedom of mankind, and benefit while doing it, should be incentive enough to contribute to bitcoin core. Charity is always playing with fire, v4v only. #bitcoin

People stop drinking coffee because they run out

The lightning bond scheme based on the htlc smart contract is very effective to preserve trust in the network. Is there a mechanism by which a digital contract could be used to back cashu tokens with a posted "honesty bond" by the mint? Then any token holder can provide their token as "proof of promise to pay" and if the mint fails proof of reserves, the bond can be used to pay the token onchain or over lightning? Maybe even the bond could be in the form of ecash stored at a "more trusted" mint?

People can't see themselves while they're hopped up on hopium and are spraying shitcoin propaganda everywhere. They all think their utility token is going to be the next great technology innovation and every bank is going to switch to it and its going to turn their $1000 into a billion.

We've all been there. If it wasnt a shitcoin it was a penny stock, or some rando telemarketer selling oil futures, or buying 100 lottery tickets, or stacking silver bars because "the price is supressed", or reading about x-ray glasses in the back of archie comics. The fact is there is no talking people out of their scams, just like you cant talk your buddy out of marrying a shreiking banshee he met at a strip club.

Some people learn by observing, some learn by hearing, some learn by reading, some learn by thinking, and everyone else learns from pain.

Most just have to get burned, all you can do is warn them.

The SPI #cashu mint is open and available for use!

If you buy the price will go down.

If you sell the price will go up.

I could never get calle's mint to work for me

Mutiny wallet also pairs well with amethyst. It supports NWC, but you need to pay something to open a channel to recieve sats.

My LSP is malfunctioning and I am presently working with them to resolve a problem. My server is not able to generate lightning invoices. This may take hours or days. If you require your sats in the meantime, send your cashu tokens to me via PM along with an LN invoice and I will redeem them to you manually.

I do not know of wallet of satoshi supports Nostr Wallet Connect (NWC) but others do. Alby, strike, mutiny and breez are a few. You can recieve zaps into your Wallet Of Satoshi (WOS) by placing the lnaddress assigned to you when you installed the app (abcdef---wxyz@walletofsatoshi.com) into your nostr profile, but zapping without NWC means you need to copy the lightning invoice from amethyst into WOS. NWC connects amethyst directly to a lightning wallet and allows zapping to be a single-click operation. If you have trouble zapping, it could be due to two problems: Either the person youre attempting to zap doesen't have their lnaddress configured properly in their nostr profile or your WOS isn't completing the lightning payment into the recipient's wallet. This could be due to legal restrictions, or it may be a simple case of insufficient liquidity on the lightning network between the WOS servers and the recipient's wallet (this problem may be temporary).
