Dutch Shaefer’s Humble Fan Heat punk 🔥🤘 Node runner

As for lightning for the past year the capacity is more or less the same while number of channels is slowly decreasing. At least this does not show as if lightning was taking over. I do not recon any other L2 protocol that would make any difference.

BTC ETFs prosent volumes bigger than at their start. Whatever is their onchain footprint it would rather increase than decrease. Retail is asleep or in coma? Whales are done for now selling?

Is that calm before the storm?

Hold on to your butts!

😎

I wonder what is the reason for such a small transaction volume. It might be the current price and market being undecided where to go and lack of new retardinals. Anyway I think that latest 2-3 months fee levels were mainly caused by 1sat/vbyte bloating mempool since retardinals’ start and on top of them were normal transaction volumes that had to adjust to that. I do not see anything new in terms of Bitcoin use cases that would significantly change the transaction volumes.

I would expect to see again fee levels like in 2021 when another price discovery starts.

And lastly, regarding network security, most of the miners are profitable now. Would they still be in 10 years’ time after 2 more halvings with fees around 1-2sat/vbyte? Hell, I don’t know but I would not extrapolate linearly their dominant current business models into the future. I agree with what I heard from Bob Burnett that block reward will play lesser role than their additional sources of revenue like grid support, heat reuse, mining transactions outside the mempool. Either they adapt or go bankrupt.

Pleb will still mine. Pleb is like cockroaches.

But I know I know shit.

Yeah Czech among eastern Europeans were allways different. Good luck. Show the rest how it should be done.

You're right. The Austrian perspective suggests that stable, unmanipulated interest rates would lead to housing being valued primarily for its use-value rather than speculation. A more stable housing market emerges when homes are built based on genuine demand for shelter rather than artificial investment incentives.

This aligns housing with its fundamental purpose: providing shelter and community, while avoiding the boom-bust cycles that make housing increasingly unaffordable for actual residents.

I hope the time comes when my grandchildren ask me: grandpa, tell us those silly stories from the past.

Then I would be like: I lived in times when people were storing their savings in houses.

Kids: Houses, but gramps we do that even today.

Me: No, not like that. Not keeping savings at home but literally buing several estates for the saving purposes.

Kids: You’re kiddin’ grandpa. No one would ever do that. This is stupid.

Me: Yeah, but what you do when your money is broken abd looses value every day. These were the times.

I really hope we have a chance for such discussions.

No but it is good to dream 😎

I hope it goes without blood shed but every of 3 French revolution was bloody. My point is broader - either Europe wakes up and revolt against this socialist bullshit now … or does it later. The change is inevitable like Thanos.

So as I understand it DOJ doesn’t back up. It is up to the court whether it takes this ruling into consideration or not.

I have no idea how US law system works so I might be telling shit.

What does it mean in practice? Is there any direct effect on developers’ cases? What would it meen for Samourai?
