Rationale: Often I find myself scrolling through people's posts on their profiles instead of scrolling the accumulated stream of new notes.
Most often used when people find the note interesting.

After reading your article again I tend to agree. And as you pointed out the writer can choose what other stuff to talk about.
And the reader can choose to filter out too.
