Las Angles is in the Mojave desert. There’s been a mega drought going on for over two decades. It hasn’t rained at all for damn near a year. It’s the driest it’s been in over 1,200 years. It’s highly populated. Fires happen especially in highly populated areas. There were 100 MPH winds for hours. When things are on fire and the winds are 100 MPH lots of other fires will occur very quickly and cover long distances.

I struggled mightily in college with economics class because my brain can’t process bullshit at all. These professors would go on and on with these explanations about how fiat works and it all sounded like bullshit to me. They would lecture on “free markets” that never sounded free. Supply and demand sounds cute and all until you realize the best you can do is break even over the long term without some sort of intervention. The entire system is theft based.
