Nostr and SxC are two completely different types of systems. One doesn't replace the other. And there's no good way to integrate SxC with Nostr. They're just two completely different things.
1997 seems to be the singularity. What the hell ws happening in 97 that sent prices into this spread?
Hey, what is a NUC?
Seed lets you recover the onchain wallet of that node, but without a channel state - you need a backup file for that, that you can generate within the Hub.
If you have only seed left and can't recover the Hub, we'd recommend contacting channel partners to close your channels early.
We'd appreciate if you follow up on support@getalby.com with details!
here is guide on migration: https://guides.getalby.com/user-guide/v/alby-account-and-browser-extension/alby-hub/faq-alby-hub/how-can-i-migrate-alby-hub-to-a-different-machine
Maybe he meant NWC? Typo?
Lol good advice. I'm glad you got it working. It's a much safer way to run your client apps. βοΈ
There should be buttons below that to accept your selection. Maybe you need to scroll down? What version of Amber are you using?
You want to approve basic actions. And it looks like maybe you're using a larger font because there should be some buttons below that to accept your selection. What version of Amber are you using?
Lol I thought you said you used iOS but I just looked again and it was someone else who was asking the same thing as you. My mistake. Clear out your 0xChat, delete your account so it's like new. Then open it fresh and there should be an option to use Amber instead of your nsec when you first register.
Oh wait you're using iOS? Amber is only for Android. I don't know anything about iOS so I can't help you. Sorry.
When you first login to 0xChat there should be an option to login with Amber instead of using your nsec.
I used to chat with Mircea all the time back in the #bitcoin-otc IRC days (circa 2010-2012). He's a nice guy, and very smart.
A NWC zap with nostr:nprofile1qqs24yz8xftq8kkdf7q5yzf4v7tn2ek78v0zp2y427mj3sa7f34ggjcpzamhxue69uhhv6t5daezumn0wd68yvfwvdhk6tcppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qyg8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnddakj703s8dt and nostr:nprofile1qqstxwlea9ah3u6kjjszu6a7lrnhqkfh8eptp2z6v0e9558tlkkl2rgpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsz9mhwden5te0wfjkccte9ec8y6tdv9kzumn9wshszxnhwden5te0wfjkccte9ekkjmnfvf5hguewvdshx6p07xr4s5 works best if the local citrine relay is co figures.
But still, it doesn't work all the time...
Minibits is my go-to wallet, but I'm currently testing LifPay. I've found that the latest releases of Minibits has improved NWC speed and reliability. It's still a bit slower than some other NWC wallets, and I sometimes have to retry receiving incoming zaps, but I haven't had any lost sats, nor have people had trouble zapping me.
This is like his 2nd note since he "joined". It's crazy that people are wasting sats on this guy's PR staff.
I'm testing the new Lifpay Wallet, and functionally, it's very nice.
Pros
- Custom LN address
- Provides LNURL
- Supports iOS & Android
- Send & Receive On-Chain
- Nostr-based account
- Multiple Accounts
- Read/Write NFC
- Print receipts and payment QR
- Custom Bitcoin Payment web-page
- NWC compatible
- Transactions up to 30 million sats
- Very low fees
Cons
- Custodial
- Closed Source
- Data synced with Lifpay servers
- No eCash
- No custom node access
It processes zaps very fast via NWC, and the other Nostr integration points are nice. It also displays the current #Bitcoin price, and provides a real-time fiat value for your sats.
There's a lot of great features, but the few drawbacks are significant. This is clearly a consumer wallet intended for the masses, and not the hard-core Bitcoiners. This is a wallet I would recommend without hesitation to new users, as well as iOS users, but probably not to more advanced users.

It feels like a more streamlined Ubuntu that retains the core functionality and features of Ubuntu.
Welcome! I'm looking forward to hearing more from you. Never hesitate to ask questions and use the #asknostr hashtag. You'll find we're a very friendly bunch who are more than happy to help.
It's pretty bloated, but it's got a lot of great features. Personally, I prefer Mint with xfce. A lot of people prefer Cinnamon, but I've been using xfce for so long that it's like second nature to me. Go with with what you know!
