Building Arx, because private, sovereign networks matter ------ Developer, protocol tinkerer, neighborhood thought-criminal. When legacy media shouts “conspiracy,” I just call it Tuesday. • Shipping Arx commit by commit, code before commentary • Unapologetic free-thinker & digital-sovereignty maximalist • Bitcoin ⚡ & Nostr native • Living life permissionlessly, no rulers, only protocols ✨

😭

fiatjaf has a unique way to prove his points, I get where he's going with it, but.... *sigh* this just annoys users in my opinion...

also what he's proving there is nothing that can't be solved client side...

for example edits that replace more than a certain delta could just not be shown and if two edits in succession do that, the client could just stop pulling edits, naturally this needs to be tested but there are ways to prevent the problem he's trying to showcase with his 75 edits on each post he makes

So true

Community has been lost, in many different ways, everywhere both on the internet and not. This is sad to hear, everything that used to be a way to build community is being replaced by completely anti-social "social" media and corporate BS.

That's why I honestly think that closed community networks are the way to go and that #nostrfixesthis and #bitcoinfixesthis

And that's what created the fiat system in a nutshell. Mommy mommy I don't wanna do it, I'm tired, do it for me mommy.

Adults need to take responsibility over their own lives, giving their money and their other keys to third parties is irresponsible, simple as that

the difference is that the tulips were never a cureency, always an asset, bitcoin is not an asset, it's a currency

Why are we still pricing bitcoin in this fake money when we could flip it around? Like seriously, just tell me a dollar is worth 1020 sats instead of this whole "bitcoin is 97k" thing.

Makes way more sense when you think about it.

hey at least Jennifer there was correct

Well good, some degen lost a small country's worth of bitcoin in exchange for fake money, the system is working as intended

It's basically the same process as a lightning zap just slightly different

I for one am not in support of the Department Of Government Efficiency, but I would be in support of the the Bureau of Treasury Control, the Better Trasury Consolidation or the Bureaucracy Termination Commission!

it only sounds complicated because you're not a developer (I assume, and I apologize if you are) and you're reading technical specs; technically a lightning zap is actually just as complicated.

can you imagine the conversation... this kid, literally a 10 year old, is learning to do something of her life so she will hopefully be able to live as a sovreign individual not yet another cog in the machine when she's an adult, and some jackass just tells her "no you're not allowed to".... I just can't wrap my head around this level of evil. a 10 years old, making $2000, $2000... and those jackasses have the gall to steal it?

sure you can, nutzaps (NIP-61) are a thing and if all else fails nip17 a note with ecash

Look at this shitcoin, what a pump and dump 🤣🤣

lost 90% of its value since they pumped it 5 years ago and let's not talk about it's value 10 years ago (99.54%), or 100 years ago (99.9994%).

My prediction is that in the next 10 years it's gonna drop another 10x but people will still be shilling it because scammers gotta scam

taxation is theft, but nice to see that they're starting to accept legalized extortion payments in bitcoin too now...

tho the fact that they're partnering with PayPal of all companies - one of the most notorious financial censors in big tech - shows how this is just putting a fancy digital wrapper on the same old coercion, nothing changes, it's just slightly more convenient
