I hear parts of Texas are quite progressive these days. Someone was describing to me a kind of music they make which is slowed right down because the...er....illicit substance they use makes everything sound really fast. I tend to think that if it can't happen somewhere in the USA then it probably can't happen at all.

Noice! I like a couple of psytrance choons. I used to play chill out rooms at psytrance parties in London. Musically it become a bit of an imitation of itself after a while, and also some kind of fleuro/l.e.d/cyberdog fashion contest - but I guess every 'scene' has its dress code. Like most scenes, it was good in the beginning. I don't think I've heard of Goa Gil. Maybe I have but I've probably left the memory in some squat in Dalston. I shall investigate later on.
