Seems logical, where's the dissonance here?
Man, sometimes being a Bitcoiner feels very cultish, but then I have a sit down and think about how I came to the conclusion that this is the way, and I think of all the well thought out arguments and decades of research that went into making it a reality.
Whenever you feel the same way, remember that it is possible to be on the right side of history and be early to the party.

I agree, when you're criticising something you just hurt your own credibility by throwing around terms you know nothing about.
Even if the criticism is valid, you now look like an idiot and you're giving everyone a reason to ignore you off the bat.
Text is text, it just gets a bit awkward when trying to search.
The effect of your like on the person who's note you liked (this thing is good, make/do more of it) isn't as important as the effect of the like on others who are being signalled to pay attention to the thing.
I almost feel like likes should only be visible to the author and zaps are public since the signal isn't free.
The real issue comes when likes are used as part of ranking algorithms since they can be farmed.
Likes are a way for you to draw attention to the thing you liked. But likes that cost nothing are broken since they can be farmed, making the system much more prone to manipulation.
I only 21⚡ but I am a bit more selective with my like zaps.
The more you like the less your likes are worth anyways. Someone who likes everything they see don't create much signal.
What's the current best alternative to having a government with a monopoly on violence?
Historically, without a central government, you end up with feudalism (gangs, individuals and families gathering power through force).
I'm genuinely interested and looking for reading material.
I'm on the 21⚡= ♥️ wagon.
I would have linked badges to zaps, creating an award should cost something.
The history of computers and voting is pretty interesting, the problem is full of gotchas.
This one is really worth watching, and you weren't wrong about the mind trip.
I'm really looking forward to season 2.
Probably are, usually are if you enjoy world and character building a lot, so much gets cut from books when adapting for TV, and it's even worse for movies.
