I agree with the custody issue being a concern, although balance that with the exceptional anonymity and frictionless, zero cost transactions, means that it still has a place in the wider ecosystem for lower value exchange.

Plus I think It has even greater relevance if you use a trusted local mint in the way that #fedimint promote, so that actors have skin in the game and real community standing that would be jeopardised with a rug pull.

I'm always thinking about what tools there are to allow individuals to understand their blockchain transactional history. Are you aware that these tools exist? Can an individual take part in their own blockchain analysis and are there tools to interpret the results in a meaningful way?
