Friend of mine had a little but then watched a documentary that "proved" it was basically a ponzi. Sold the little he had and now doesn't want to touch it.
I just said "hm, okay", because if he is not willing to do any further research beyond some obscure doc, nothing I say will really change his mind.
I offered the same to people. No one took me up on it.

The real story

From a festive point of view, I enjoy seeing them immediately after Thanksgiving (if in USA), only because Thanksgiving tends to be overshadowed.
If we are speaking liturgically, then when Advent starts. Even then it would be more appropriate to decorate for Advent first and then Christmas when Christmas starts (but this only makes sense if people celebrate Christmastide, meaning all 12 days of Christmas, which, sadly, almost nobody does anymore.)
Hoping that RFK Jr. Being given reign over the USDA and CDC, Trump's pledge to #freeross, and now a potential Ron Paul cabinet position will stir even the most politically apathetic bitcoiners and nostriches to vote for the orange man.
