Never used one, but boosted this for you.

YNAB is great, but a privacy nightmare. Pretty sure they charge quite a bit now, too. I don't know if there are good FOSS alternatives.

I used YNAB until they forced everyone to store all their financial records on the company servers. They were good back when you could just save things to your computer. Our household held onto them until the bitter end.

Yep, it's a shame. Typical nowadays, though.

Thanks

MyExpenses

Open source, available in F-Droid, runs on Android, can sync to your own server via webdav if you give the developer a few bucks a year.

Of course, you could probably modify it and compile if yourself to unlock all the features, but IMO the author is providing value and deserves vslue in return.

I'll definitely check this one out.

Everydollar App

A great company with common sense values.

I've briefly used this and it seemed good. https://github.com/firefly-iii/firefly-iii

Most options in the search results are a privacy nightmare.

Time to #asknostr What do the paranoid among you use for finance and budget tracking?

Speaking for myself it should run fine on #linux windows or mac only won't work for me. Something that can easily track my #bitcoin too.
