Thanks for responding, and for the info regarding nwc. I think I get what you're saying. I'll keep trying. I guess I need to figure how to tell my phone to default to Coinos, rather than Strike.

While I have you here, I found an area in my Coinos account that let's me reveal my NWC and copy it. Unfortunately, I dont understand what it's for, or how I would use it. Any suggestions?

Being debt free and owning crypto of any value makes you a target to criminals and desperate people. It's already a problem, but will get orders of magnitude worse.

The hoards are coming to take whatever they can get their hands on. Remaining anonymous when discussing crypto is imperative.

It's a matter of when, not if.

This is a false equivalency. I love bitcoin, and I love being my own custodian, but it is indeed very risky. It's a conundrum for onboarsing new people. Most normies are going to make these mistakes when getting into the game (hopefully before their stash reaches millions of dollars). They aren't ready for it because it's never been needed with any other assets they've ever owned, including houses.

Ok ok, you're a world traveler, I get it... But, have you ever touched a redwood tree?

People should add more music to bitchute or whatever alternative. I hate going to Youtube..

I did find this:

Any other #Nostr users in # Humboldt County, CA?

Asking for a friend.

I've asked this before, but I haven't really got the answer:

When I go to zap a note on #Amethyst, I am redirected to Strike. How do I change this to a different wallet?

I have added coinos to my profile (you can see it there), but Amethyst does not direct me to Coinos when I want to zap someone's note.

Any ideas?

90k is now a support. Trade accordingly.

To answer your first question I have not used coinos but if they are your wallet provider you should have a lnurl or it may say use your email address. The ln url would look something like ln3h5g1ghfjfj2g7g4b7r.

To your second question i'll explain what a relay is. A relay is a website each website is basically a global feed for you to receive the notes of all the users & send to every relay added to your profile. How many should you add is up to you do you want your note to be seen by more people then add more relays to send to.

I use to use a website that was a search for relays but the website is no longer maintained & outdated so I guess you can look at peoples profiles & add the relays they have on their profile. Like every website which is what a relay is has it's own tos/pp so if you post something one relay don't like they can delete your note.

Which is a problem because you get no notification that relay a removed post y for this reason. So you would be looking at ur profile checking & just have to notice in ur wall hey a notes missing wtf why? Relays need to be reimplemented with having to provide a reason & some way to notify you but none of these devs want to work on that because they don't care about letting you know hey this relay deleted your note.

So always back up every single note somewhere because eventually they all get deleted. Which is why it's heavily suggested to every user you host & run your own relay so you don't have the risk of your note being deleted of course then everyone else needs to add that relay to see those notes.

Last to answer the verification check all this does is show people hey this website registered you & believes your not a bot. It will be in purple under your username on your profile. Other then that theres no other significance.

I hope I answered everything.

This was a very kind and thorough response. I don't really want to bug you much more about these things, other than to ask if you can direct me to something like a 'how to' guide for setup on Amethyst. I'll look on YouTube I guess. It seems I'll be searching and watching videos for hours to find basic setup guides. Lol. That's ok. This whole thing is new to me and I am not a technical user, just a pleb. It's k8nda like learning Linux when all you've ever done is use Windows.

I hear you about coinos being kinda sketchy because I cannot access an nsec. Maybe Strike is the better alternative... Still, I added coinos to my profile in Amethyst as you described. You can see it listed on my profile with the zap icon ⚑️... yet, when I press thr zap icon on another person's note, I am re-directed to Strike by the Amethyst app. I would like this to not happen. Any ideas?

It's hard to tell from that pic, but it's likely an oak gall. Oak galls are an abnormal growth that occurs on oak trees in response to certain chemicals injected into their twigs by gall wasps. Squirrels eat the soft tissue of Oak galls regularly. Weird stuff, right?

What? It couldn't hold 90k? Sell it all!

Maybe not. We'll see where we're at in the morning.
