Mostly wrong

Mastodon holding steady

Lots of good content coming over the mostr bridge

https://void.cat/d/VGnfRTP3U22ty7RTmYxUMs.webp

Seen from afar, X is so full of content and so empty

A barren rocky landscape of extremes and absolutes with no room for compromise

There is in fact, nothing to discuss

Move along Rotten Tomatoes

Here comes Nostr Potatoes

It will aggregate ratings and reviews by your follow (contact) list

It's a work in progress & I'm not sure what's functional yet, but the possibilities are interesting

Imagine getting recommendations by putting in any curated list

Or a list of followers of a nostr community

https://jrc-dev.github.io/nostr-potatoes/development/

Found this interesting podcast with nostr:npub1wmr34t36fy03m8hvgl96zl3znndyzyaqhwmwdtshwmtkg03fetaqhjg240 and nostr:npub1kuy0wwf0tzzqvgfv8zpw0vaupkds3430jhapwrgfjyn7ecnhpe0qj9kdj8 on differences between nostr and Bluesky

So Bluesky and nostr developers have similar backgrounds and objectives but took different paths

Bluesky went for replicating Twitter services on a decentralized protocol built around existing protocols

This approach led to relative complexity which hinders the pace of decentralization

The protocol stores identities on servers, so users can login using emails and passwords

Now I kinda understand that the heavy lifting placed on nostr clients is because the key management is local

Bluesky had a lot of publicity which made open collaboration difficult

Whereas nostr took everyone by surprise

Having used nostr for only a few weeks I don't think I could go back to remotely stored / managed identities

Not your keys not your notes

It's a paradigm shift

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm 😬

My number one feature wish for nostr clients is support for lists πŸ™

Lists are awesome

In the browser the awesome noStrudel.ninja has support

I can't find a client on Android

Every other day I find something new and beautiful built on nostr

Today it's https://yakihonne.com , a long-form client with curations

Hello

I'm not sure if you can see the original comment

"Do you follow and interact with npubs behind the mostr bridge? (Accounts with the mostr.pub Nostr address.) If so, which ones? Tag'em below."

It's just people on nostr sharing who and what type of content they're following on Mastodon via the nostr-Mastodon bridge

Sorry for the random tag

Thank you for the art β˜€οΈ

It's a good sign that nostr is politically diverse

It helps wider scale adoption

And stops nostr from going insane

We can agree on fundamental freedom of speech so we can talk about the things we disagree about like the size and roles of government

That's good for a healthy society

Most nostr content is focussed on the technology itself

The focus is natural and a good thing while the networks are bootstrapping

It will hopefully broaden in time but without losing the enthusiasm

Dinged the blue check

All in on nostr

It's a bet on the future

#nostr is full of nice & fun & creative & smart ppl

Talking to each other

This is what social media always should have been
