OTOH the two worst cases of online harassment I've ever seen occurred on X, before and after the acquisition
X has the option to make ur account private but then the bullies win
Hoping nostr can come up with fun solutions
Something like personalized AI content labelling but maybe compute isn't there yet
This is another * use case for proxy relays like filter.nostr.wine which can implement inbox/outbox without leaking your IP to untrusted relays
* the others being performance and spam filtering
Ya, clean and clear
Missing follow lists but I imagine that's coming
Ditto will probably be my go to browser client alongside Coracle
Main ditto server is ditto.pub

There is only minor evidence of low birth rates and only in the late Republic - early Empire and only among the aristocracy, before the Empire reached it's peak power
"Low" implying below replacement level
Replacement level is determined by infant and child mortality rates
Correlation between birth rates and population decline does not imply causation
Mortality due to plagues, famines and wars cause
* population decline and
* reduced birth rates due to reduced life expectancy of women of child-bearing age and
* increased infant and child mortality and
* increase the replacement level
Plagues, famines and wars also cause political instability, economic and military decline
In the modern world low birth rates are correlated with stronger economies, military power and political stability
The men of X need to think more about the Roman Empire

Welcome!
Beautiful photo
Even if you're not interested in the community possibilities, ditto.pub is a sweet nostr client.
Thinking about it, as content labelling has been a topic recently, *shitposting* would be a useful label for describing tone / attitude
And a label for the opposite might be useful too, err, niceposting ? π
Mood labelling

Ok ditto.pub does allow me to do this π

Custom sensitive content labels are part of NIP-36
It would be good to see more clients support this
Sometimes I marvel at how much better nostr already is than corporate social media
Socially better
Freedomy better
Technologically better in many aspects
As long as corporate social media rely on closed protocols they will stagnate
While open protocols will accelerate
Credit to Meta for realizing this
Sure it's a promotional gimmick but there's an interesting angle
Doomers have been warning about AGI taking control by force, what if it/they went the conventional route?
Would ppl vote for humans or potentially smarter and incorruptible AI?

Maybe
You'd need to export the Citrine database regularly as Citrine does not use persistent storage
And back the database up somewhere
And those notes would only be available on your device
Running your own relay is another option
It would be less manual than Citrine after the initial setup
And your notes would be available everywhere
In a way it's the most censorship resistant option
If you add your own relay to your list of inbox relays (NIP-65) it will receive and store any events you're tagged in (replies, DMs, mentions, likes, zaps etc) provided that the other user's client implements NIP-65 which most do
Possibly StartOS on a VPS would be the most straightforward option for creating and managing a nostr relay
This is all assuming that nostr relays can be configured to *not* honor delete requests, I haven't checked
Just for storing your own events permanently https://cellar.nostr.wine/ is a good option
As Tony noted though, you won't be able to view deleted notes in clients that honor delete requests regardless
So there's a client issue and a relay issue
