Starbucks in El Salvador says they accept Bitcoin, but when we visited the staff discouraged us from paying in Bitcoin or didn’t know how to process the transaction. Disappointing to say the least.

There is an awesome Bitcoin community. I have seen people of all ages, young and old. There is a Bitcoin meet up weekly in El Zonte, with bitcoiners in the area (some travel from San Salvador).
