All they do is help keep your money functional, precisely so that it can do its job of *being censorship resistant*

allowing you to buy whatever you want whenever you want 🧡

While not a specific answer to your question, I always feel compelled to let folks know the following:

Be sure to flash the firmware to verify the device isn’t compromised, ideally before setup.

While unlikely (now, tho who knows in the future), it *is* possible to fairly trivially open it, replace the chip with a compromised one and close it, and it still pairs with Green wallet.

nostr:npub17777777tpz9x2dcvvlw37sgk5gmpffexl0u30gjjgcd59ty92vrs0atnu0 has demonstrated this.

If you flash it and it flashes fine, then it’s good to go, while it won’t flash if compromised.

Blockstream is aware of this and told me at Unconfiscatable last year that they are working on a solution but had no eta.

Thanks yes, that screen does come up but still wasn’t working to send more once Phoenix opened.

(I was using @Phoenix (which is really bad for smaller zaps anyway, since they have the 4 sat/tx fee), and they would not let me send more than double the default.)
