#Bitcoin class of 2021, #nostr class of 2022. A nobody, saved by grace, work traveler, still photographer, sometimes writing. Most posts are notes to self.

I will do the same.

I think it's concerning as a U.S. citizen, that the top five email service providers that have the highest level of security and privacy (Proton, Tutanota, Mailfence, Posteo and StartMail) are located outside the United States.

Hey, I can't self-host, so what's the next best thing?

Useful by who, and how? All I see are dead links or websites charging for the privilege of having an address at a static link.

Agreed, it's a game, brought to us by a dev team with an infinite supply. I don't want to play either. I'll stick to ##btc.

Yes, I'm referring the @ address. People have them listed in their bio, and there are several domains that offer the 'service' of setting up the NIP-05 identity... but now it seems useless.

Can someone explain to me why I should want a 'nostr address'? Most all of them are dead links or they take you to a landing page for the domain. What useful purpose does this serve? #nostraddress #nostr

I've been using the Remarkable 2 for about 6 months now and I like it but again some quirks. I take a tremendous amount notes daily for my job and I would love to give this a try but the $800 price tags a bit too much for me. Is there any way to demo this for a little bit and give you some honest feedback from a heavy user?
