Hate to be all doom and gloom, but the silver lining is we have Bitcoin and Nostr to drive the movement. If these technologies were never invented we’d be royally fucked.
An authoritarian one world government where the slave minded follow the new world order and do as their told. A group of rebels chooses privacy over convenience, self sovereignty over compliance, and uses the decentralized internet. The governments will do their best with their centralized media to demonize these people as dissent grows and decentralized internet becomes more mainstream, they will labels us as enemies, terrorists, or criminals. As the decentralized internet becomes more and more user friendly the slave minded will start to wake up and look for ways to exit their CBDC economy. I do think a new CBDC will buy the governments another 10 years and slow down the transition to Bitcoin because so many people are stupid and think the governments of the world actually care about them. It’s on all of us to educate in a non pushy way and help to speed up the transition. The future will be an authoritarian surveillance state, especially as the governments and banks start to see their power slipping away. They will do their best to destabilize the world and use fear to scare people into trusting them for “safety”.
Bitcoin and Nostr are the only things that give me hope for the future. Depressing, but it’s true. The world has really become quite the shithole. Tons of people content with slave mindset out there.
It’s key to follow the big players on nostr and follow the people they follow to get started. Follow #[2] and #[3] and who they follow to get a good feed going of smart Nostriches and Bitcoiners. Then just join in with the dialog and zaps ⚡️ 😀

What got me here in the first place was the Silk Road and distrust of the government. But I agree, in the early years I bought and sold. Every since 2016 I’ve mostly accumulated. Only selling to use for other revenue stream builders so I can buy more Bitcoin. There are of course the people who buy bitcoin simply to trade it, but the people who have spent 1000 hours on it are growing by the day. It will take a while but it all of our duties to orange pill and educate. The sooner the migration can happen to bitcoin, the better it is for humanity in the long run.
The goal of people who HODL ETH or any altcoin is to make money just like a stock. The goal of people who HODL Bitcoin is to change the underlying financial structure of the world. Real Bitcoiners don’t care about making money, they care about changing the underlying financial instrument that determines all asset value. We are not the same.
